Safety
Safety information
The safety of our climbers is our top priority. We partner with Head Rush Technologies to equip our centres with the TRUBLUE auto belay system, and developed the Belay Mate for climbers using auto belays.
Before you climb
What every climber needs to know
- Loose fitting clothes and trainers are recommended.
- Only closed-toe shoes are allowed. For safety reasons we cannot allow sandals, flip flops, crocs or rock shoes into the arena.
- Please keep jewellery to a minimum. We can safely secure jewellery if required.
- Weight restrictions: climbers must weigh at least 10kg and no more than 150kg so our auto belays function safely.
- Children should wear leggings, long trousers or knee-length shorts.
- No fancy dress with capes unless they can be removed.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked session so we can sign you in. Briefings start at your booked time.
Belay Mate
An innovative, fool-proof safety mechanism that provides 100% safety for climbers when connected to an auto belay. It is fitted to every climb and may require staff assistance for younger children to operate.
Harnesses & auto belays
All harnesses are supplied and fitted by our instructors, and every challenge runs on a TRUBLUE auto belay that lowers climbers gently back to the floor — no belay partner needed.
